Özet
Çalışmanın konusu, Emevilerin ilk dönemlerinde Hicaz Bölgesi’nde ortaya çıkan Medine halkının isyanı neticesinde meydana gelen Harre Vakası’nın ve Mekke merkezli Abdullah b. Zübeyr isyanının iktisadi arka planını ortaya koymaktır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ele aldığımız hadiselerin meydana geliş sebeplerini siyasi unsurlara bağlayan görüşlere karşı bu isyanları ortaya çıkaran önemli unsurlardan birinin de ekonomik sebepler olduğuna dikkat çekmektir. Çalışmamız, siyasi boyutu ön plana çıkarılan bu isyanlara alışılmış bakış açısı dışında farkındalık oluşturması bakımından da önem arz etmektedir. Bizi böyle bir çalışmaya sevk eden asıl sebep işte bu farkındalığı ön plana çıkartarak genel olarak birbirinin tekrarı olan birtakım siyasi argümanlar çerçevesinde incelenen bu isyanların iktisadi yönüne vurgu yapmaktır. Bu vesilesiyle bahsettiğimiz hadiselerin ortaya çıkmasında hiç değinilmeyen ya da sınırlı olarak temas edilen iktisadi sebepler geniş bir yelpazede ele alınacaktır. Yine çalışmamız vesilesiyle bu isyanların ortaya çıkmasında önemli bir etken olup ancak göz ardı edilen sosyo-ekonomik konjonktüre yer verilecek, isyanların incelendiği dönem içerisinde Hicaz Bölgesi’nin ve halkının iktisadi durumuna dair bir tablo oluşturulacaktır.

Abstract
The subject of this study is to reveal the economic background of the Harrah Incident, which occurred as a result of the rebellion of the people of Medina in the Hijaz Region in the early periods of the Umayyads, and the Mecca-based Abdullah b. Zubayr rebellion. The aim of this study is to draw attention to the fact that economic reasons are one of the important factors that led to these revolts against the views that attribute the causes of the events we have discussed to political factors. Our study is also important in terms of creating awareness other than the usual point of view on these revolts, whose political dimension is emphasised. The main reason that led us to such a study is to bring this awareness to the forefront and to draw attention to the economic aspect of these revolts, which are generally analysed within the framework of some repetitive political arguments. On this occasion, the economic reasons for the emergence of these events, which have never been mentioned or have been touched upon in a limited way, will be discussed in a wide range. Again, on the occasion of our study, the socio-economic conjuncture, which is an important factor in the emergence of these revolts but ignored, will be included, and a picture of the economic situation of the Hijaz Region and its people in the period when the revolts were examined will be tried to be revealed.
